Hi, I’m Jenny,

I created JHA Wholehearted Works as a space centered on healing, connection, emotional wellness, and community care. My work is rooted in the belief that people deserve support that feels compassionate, authentic, culturally aware, and grounded in real human experience.

Originally from New York and brought to Minnesota by my military service, I bring both personal and professional experiences that shape how I connect with the people and communities I serve. As a first-generation American and a biracial Black and Hispanic woman, I understand the ways identity, culture, systemic barriers, and lived experiences can impact mental health, relationships, belonging, and access to support.

My background includes 17 years of military service, behavioral crisis response work, youth and family support, community-based programming, trauma-informed mental health care, and work connected to reentry and justice-impacted populations. I currently serve as a Behavioral Crisis Responder providing trauma-informed mental health crisis intervention and de-escalation support within the community. Over the years, I have worked with individuals, families, veterans, youth, and underserved communities navigating stress, trauma, burnout, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, identity-related challenges, relational difficulties, and systemic barriers.

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from University of Saint Thomas and approach my work through a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered lens. My values are deeply connected to social justice, equity, and creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, supported, and empowered without judgment.

Whether through therapy, wellness work, or group spaces, my goal is to help people feel less alone while building practical tools, deeper self-understanding, and meaningful support.
